Apple to update the Mac line

Current rumors are saying that almost the entire Mac lineup will be getting an update, to be announced at the WWDC keynote next week.

Its been a while since the keynote has focused on the Mac systems. Usually focusing on the iOS devices, this will be a nice change and a needed overhaul for the ailing Mac Pro.

Microsoft issues the third update for Office of Mac 2008 and 2011

This update fixes extremely important issues and also helps improve security. It includes fixes for vulnerabilities that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computer’s memory with malicious code.

 

It is available via software update or the website.


Apple releases OS X update 10.7.4

The 10.7.4 update is recommended for all OS X Lion users and includes general operating system fixes that improve the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac including fixes that:

  • Resolve an issue where the “Reopen windows when logging back in” setting is always enabled
  • Improve compatibility with certain British third-party USB keyboards
  • Address an issue that may prevent files from being saved to a server
  • Improve the reliability of copying files to an SMB server

There is a trojan out there that tricks PC’s and Macs into redirecting all their internet traffic through malicious servers. Even though the creators have been arrested, millions of PCs could still be infected.
